Secondary Lead: Smelters Showed Low Willingness to Ship, Few Quotations Were Posted Today [SMM Lead Midday Review]

The SMM #1 lead average price today fell by 75 yuan/mt to 16,700 yuan/mt. Mainstream secondary refined lead supplies in east and north China commanded premiums of 0-30 yuan/mt against the SMM #1 lead average price ex-works, while discounts in Guangxi, Hunan and nearby regions hovered around 50 yuan/mt. The mainstream tax-exclusive prices stood at 15,550-15,600 yuan/mt, with smelters showing low sales enthusiasm and limited offers today. Downstream enterprises exhibited moderate inquiry interest, making just-in-time procurement only. Today's procurement sentiment for secondary refined lead was 0.61, while sales sentiment was 0.74 (historical data is available in the database).
